A low ocean tide effects the river even as far up as Nerang exposing the rounded stones.
Every morning I walk the path along its banks to enjoy the lush greenery and the abundance of birdlife. Swarms of noisy cockatoos and corellas call the river area their own, sharing it with a myriad of other species, from tiny finches, whip birds, currawongs, magpies and Willy Wagtails to some rarely seen black cockatoos.
I always feel refreshed, energised and inspired on my way home, ready to face the day.
