Right around the corner of the Burleigh Headlands the river meets the sea.
The little beach is popular with swimmers, especially families with children. One of only a few spots on the Gold Coast where one can bathe without being tumbled about by waves, but not swim too far out into the current.
The rocks provide something interesting to explore. Rock oysters cling to the submerged parts at high tide, but most of them have been harvested.
